What a Weekend! :-)

Whew! What a busy weekend it has been. But, a very good, very memorable one at that! It all started on Friday. We made a trip to Findlay, Ohio for one of my sorority sisters' wedding. It was a 4th of July theme, and we had a great time. She married a Leiutenant in the Army so it was very fitting to be married on the 4th. Then, Saturday was wedding #2 for the weekend. It was one of L's cousins and it was much closer to home! The wedding was very nice and we are very happy for the newly married couple :) It was good to see some of his family too!

Yesterday evening was my Grandparents 50th Anniversary celebration. It was held at their home, was absolutely amazing, and they deserved every last ounce of it! They are two of the most special people in my life and the love and life they have made for our family is truly amazing. The evening was perfect, too! Beautiful weather, and literally every last one of their family and friends (minus my sister who is on a church trip) were in attendance. Papa Joe's catered and the food was am-a-zing. There was also a jazz quartet that played through out the evening and they were wonderful! Amidst the music, the 80 or so of us enjoyed eachothers company and when the sun set, there was an "after hours disco" set up in the barn. We danced the night away in celebration of the 50 years of life Grandma and Grandpa have made together :) They are truly an inspiration to me and I hope to be able to pass along the magic and love they have given us to my own family someday. Here are some photos of the evening...
It was an absolutely beautiful evening on the Pond!

The fun-filled weekend ended today with a bbq held at my Uncle's. It has been so nice to spend the time with my family this weekend, as we had many family members in from out of state that we do not get to see very often. The time we get to spend with them is very special :)

Here's to a wonderful 4th of July weekend FULL of celebrations of love. Love for our country and love for those closest to us :)

Did the groom wear his military uniform? My husband is a Lt in the Australian Army and he got married in his formal uniform.

Oh, and what an achievement for your grandparents!
